Pick up the banana phone because Tropius the banana boi is back!!! I made a Tropius a year ago that, like Mega Ampharos, seemed impossible to translate to my style of art. A lot of features that were clearly “drawing only” took time to figure out and craft in a way that felt true to the concept…. … but it’s been a year and I’m now at a point where I’m comfortable making any character 😅 all of which to say Tropius was a carving I was very eager to remake*, an opportunity I received from commissions! The first banana boi had a minimalist almost underdog charm I didn’t want to override, so I tried to keep the genesis of the original still.
