Strikingly purple and subtly sweet, this Iced Ube Latte will add some fun to your morning routine and have everyone guessing what’s in your purple potion. 🦄☕👾 Here’s what you’ll need: 1-2oz ube extract 6-8oz milk of choice 2oz espresso Ice For cold foam: 4 tbsp whole milk 1 tbsp heavy cream 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste 1/2 tsp ube extract 3/4 tsp brown sugar Pistachios crushed or chopped finely for garnish Here’s how you make it: Add ice to glass and then drizzle the ube extract over ice. Next pour in your milk of choice and top with an espresso shot. In a milk frother or in a glass using a hand frother, add the heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla bean paste, ube extract and brown sugar and froth to combine. 🍽 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲 🍽 Repost @arlynosborne UBE LATTE - love making this for an extra special morning. pumpkin spice lattes are great and all but this right here is 👌🏼 Ingredients: 1/2 cup (120g) milk of choice 1 tablespoon (15g) ube halaya 1/8 teaspoon purple ube paste (I like the Butterfly brand) 1/4 cup (60g) hot espresso or coffee For Topping: 1/2 cup (120g) milk, steamed/frothed Instructions: Add everything to a small saucepan and heat over low heat. Smash the ube halaya into the mixture with a rubber spatula. Continue to do this, stirring gently, until dissolved and combined. You can use a whisk, but don’t whisk too vigorously. We don’t want to create any froth. Pour the mixture into a mug. Top with the steamed/frothed milk. I can’t do latte art (I wish) but if you want to make it extra pretty, you can swirl some of the froth with a toothpick.
