After 3 years of life science at UofT, I definitely don’t have it all figured out but these 2 things really helped me get through the year. In my first and second year I found myself frantically scrambling the night before exams or leaving everything till the last minute and I would see it reflected in my grades. Optimizing the time that i had as early as possible was crucial in helping solidify my gpa this year. Now there’s always times where things happen or a course just has too much content and when that happens you gotta do what you need to, but whatever can be studied for earlier or completed before its due, prioritize that as early as you can! #uoft #studytips #unistudent #learning #exams

As a 4.0 double STEM major: 1. Pavlov yourself I started pairing hard things with things I liked. Doomscrolling = treadmill. Studying = sweet treat + good playlist. Eventually your brain lowkey starts associating studying with dopamine. 2. Stop blindly reading notes If I can’t explain it in simpler words or recall it without looking, I probably don’t know it as well as I think I do. 3. Don’t leave lectures at 100% confusion One thing that helped me SO much was forcing myself to figure out confusing concepts within 24 hours instead of letting them pile up before midterms. 4. Use the random in-between time A lot of my studying happened in random 20 minute gaps between classes instead of 8 hour study days. Those little chunks genuinely add up. 5. Keep a “ways I lost marks” note Every time I lost marks for a silly mistake, I wrote it down. After a while you realize you make the same 5 mistakes over and over. #study #motivation #uoft #toronto #calgary

5 things they DON’T tell you about graduation day at University of Toronto 🎓📚 1) you spend four years wanting it to end… then suddenly wish you had one more semester. 2) convocation hall feels way smaller when it’s the last time you’ll sit there as a student. 3) speeches hit harder than you expect. 4) you realize you may never be in a room with all these people again. 5) graduation feels less like an ending and more like becoming a memory. #universityoftoronto #uoft #collegegraduation #classof2026 #uoftalumni
