Here’s a fascinating fact about Infinite Painter you might not know. 🤓 Some brushes interact with your canvas in real-time. As you adjust the texture’s depth, opacity, or scale, your brush strokes change—just like a real brush would react to different textures and materials! 🤯 Did you know this already? "July Day" Mountain painting Artist - Viktor Yushkevich. #122 Good day dear friends! I want to share with you a new video on painting the painting "July Day". The picture is painted with acrylic paints on canvas. The format of the picture is 70x110 cm. I invite you to watch the full video on painting the painting "July Day". The video also shows the palette of colors used. You can watch this video by subscribing to my Patrion channel. https://www.patreon.com/UVN_Art The painting depicts a warm July day before a thunderstorm. Since the morning the men have been catching fish, which is not enough here. After collecting a good catch, they collect nets to be in time before a thunderstorm strikes. The sky was filled with soft, colorful powerful clouds. The sun's rays through the clouds, like a curtain, descended to the ground and touching the water play together, producing shining, moving reflections. Soaring seagulls, enjoying the flight, fill the picture with life. The compositional center in this picture is a small peninsula filled with beautiful trees with an elegant shape. On this picturesque peninsula, there is a church built in the last century and residential buildings that were formed in due time. The coast of the peninsula is strewn with sand-colored stones and a road rises from it to the buildings. Swaying charms and white water lilies enrich this landscape with lightness. This picture personifies the harmony of man with nature and God. Take care of yourself! Sincerely, Victor! I have so many paintings in cabins all over the country, and I can’t wait till I have one of my own. I can’t wait till we live in the sticks. Nothing but @paulcauthen in the studio this week.

I’ve painted on both raw and primed canvas and here’s what I’ve learned: 1) Canvas comes in two forms: plain or duck. The threads in duck are more tightly woven and I will talk about that in another post. Stay tuned… 2) I buy my raw canvas from @opusvictoria either unstretched or I get them to custom stretch them for me. I don’t have the patience for stretching and they’re amazing at it. Leave it to the experts, I say. Thanks Opus!🙏🏼 3) To prime or not to prime, this is the question. Prime just means ‘prepare’ the canvas in this case. I always prime with @liquitexofficial clear gesso - I prefer the consistency of this product compared to others. Gesso is a necessary primer if you want to use acrylic paints on an absorbent surface like canvas, linen, wood, plastic…it needs to be prepared. Basically, gesso creates a tooth-like surface to absorb the paint rather than sink into the weave. 4) Without gesso, the canvas is very absorbent. Absorbency will impact the vibrancy of the paint. Unprimed raw canvas will absorb the paint into the weave and create very soft hues with soft edges - almost like watercolours. Think Helen Frankenthaler and Jackson Pollack. They didn’t always prime and Frankenthaler became famous for her ‘soak-stain’ method with fields of translucent hues. 5) If I want a soft effect, I will use one coat of gesso. If I want more vibrancy and sharper edges then I use two or three coats. I would experiment and see what you like. 6) If you don’t want to commit to experimenting on your stretched canvases buy a bit of canvas from the roll at your local art store and experiment with types of gesso and number of layers to see what effects you prefer. 7) if you’ve even read this far, thank you. 🙏🏼 This is getting too long and I have a lot more to add…to be continued…what types of gesso, what type of paint, what I use as thinners, etc… . . . #mixedmediaartist #rawcanvas #contemporaryart #helenfrankenthaler #michelleheslopart #contemporaryartists #howto #howtopaint #natureinspired #naturelovers #westcoastart #doitfortheprocess #abstractlandscape
