how much does it truly cost to live in a van?💭 tbh … about the same as a studio apartment in any major city but with obvious perks 😮‍💨 roughly, i spend a total of $1200 each month on basic things like my van payment, insurance, gas, etc … BUT! eventually once my van is paid off my expenses will be cut drastically and I can put that extra $500 in my savings 😅 I did chose a more expensive vanlife route as well — you DO NOT need a sprinter van as your first rig nor do you need to spend as much as I did. I knew this was going to be my life for 5+ years since I grew up on the road and already loved the lifestyle, so I chose to invest in it … but for someone starting out it’s okay to begin small! buy a cheaper van, build out your car, get a truck camper! all are viable options and doable if you’re smart about it. now, ask me ANYTHING in the comments about money or vanlife and I’ll happily answer the best I can! #vanlife #nomad #solovanlife
