❓Why . Is . This . Important ❓ The Bhagavad Gita is one sacred part of a much larger scriptural tradition within Sanatana Dharma. This reel offers a simple map of the scriptures of Sanatana Dharma - the vast knowledge system. When we look at this vast tree of knowledge, one thing becomes very clear — our Rishis had already done unbelievably deep work for humanity. They did not leave us with fragments. They gave us a complete framework for life, thought, worship, discipline, philosophy, society, cosmos, inner growth - literally everything! Everything was preserved, organised and handed down with so much care… almost like it was placed on a platter for us. All we have to do is approach it with sincerity, study it, and slowly bring it into life. But what are we doing today? Many among us dismiss these Shastras as “impractical,” “outdated,” or irrelevant for modern times. So while we are doubting our own inheritance, the West, China, and other global centres of research are studying these very scriptures, analysing them, re-presenting them to the world in fancy terms, and in many cases claiming their intellectual rights (patenting) or turning them into cultural/health capital without even due credit to the source! And then we start respecting it — not because our tradition said it, but because it came from the west! This reel is meant to be a mirror for that mindset. Not to create guilt. But to create reflection. How can we raise a generation that values modern education, and at the same time does not become rootless? Purusha Suktam (Rig Veda 10.90) describes the Cosmic Being Purusha, the source of all existence.
