Sharing some of the reasons why I veil for this Fridays restock. I get asked this question a lot, but the truth is my reasons behind veiling have changed over the years & continue to evolve everyday. There are times where I feel comfortable not veiling and times where I feel like it’s necessary. I veil in ritual, at work, when meeting new people or sometimes when going out. Veiling & head covering is personal to everyone I’ve met, and offering veils that are consecrated & blessed in the way I have done for my personal veils for years is a dream. Being able to offer enchantments and freely talk about my practice & my veiling is a privilege, and I thank you for supporting me & my shop & journey. This Friday’s restock will be the last one for October so I have space for a much needed break. You can still support my shop between now & the next restock, I just won’t be releasing anything new or restocking sold out items. I’m excited for planning what’s to come, including a BFV (big fucking veil!) drop for the wintry seasons, new oils, sprays, and more. Veils shown in this video: Cosenza Circe Rosalba Prosperina Geranio Lautone Tempests Gwyneth, Aspen, Nera, Vino, Ruta, Antonia, Mezzanotte, & Agrifoglio will be restocked in limited quantities, alongside St Raphael’s Safe Travels Charm Bag & Contro il Malocchio charm bags. #restock #veiling #headcovering #practitioner #folkwitch #folkmagic #devotion

The niqab (face veil) has roots in pre-Islamic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cultures, originating over 3,000 years ago as a sign of elite status. While adopted into Islamic traditions and later popularized as a modern religious garment since the 1970s, face veiling was historically practiced for modesty and social status across Jewish, Christian, and Muslim communities. . Ancient Origins: Veiling was practiced by Assyrian, Greek, Roman, and Persian women long before Islam. It was used to signal social respectability, often separating free women from slaves. . Jewish Traditions: Historically, married Jewish women covered their hair as a sign of modesty (tzniut). Some ultra-Orthodox, or Haredi, women have historically and in modern times chosen to wear full-body veils similar to the niqab or burqa. . Christian Traditions: Early Christian women in the Byzantine and Mediterranean areas used face veils. In Egypt, upper-class Christian and Muslim women both adopted the harabah (a face veil) in the 19th century. . Islamic Traditions: While hijab (hair covering) is widely considered compulsory in Islam, the niqab (face covering) is debated among scholars, with some viewing it as a voluntary act of piety rather than a mandatory requirement. . 19th/20th Century: Urban Christian and Muslim women in the Middle East often dressed similarly in veils, with white typically used for the unmarried and black for married women. . #veiling #niqabmodel #hijabfashion #explorepage #religion

Uh oh, wait not wearing a veil is also a show of bridal love. Because Advanced Catholicism (lol) is less about what’s right or wrong and more about an interior disposition! #catholic #catholicism #veiling
