Crafted in a rich deep navy satin with a soft sheen, the dress features a flattering crossover V-neck bodice, short sleeves, and a neatly defined waist that falls into softly structured pleats, creating that timeless sculpted silhouette Dior became so famous for. The Christian Dior Original – Made in U.S.A. – Christian Dior New York label places it within the highly regarded licensed couture programme of the period, when Dior’s Parisian designs were carefully produced for the American market. Can you believe it 😭😭😭 I would say this is one of the best things I’ve ever found at a flea market or thrifting PERIODT. I’m a sucker for an 80s puff sleeve or a ruffled, tiered, mega voluminous gown so finding this vintage Dior gown for $20 at the Chelsea flea market was kismet!! From my research it looks to be from the late 80s-90s, with the most exquisite beading on the lace bodice which I think might have been done by hand🤔 It also has a strap that droops on the each arm so it’s kind of like a cold shoulder but not really?
