Puspa told me how grateful she is about life and that she is celebrating 10 years running Puspa’s Warung this May! 👉WHAT- I had a classical Mie Goreng with Corn Fritters and it was perfect! You'll see many family-owned shops (warungs) selling just babi guling. Out of the few babi guling spots I tried on my trip, this one was my favourite! Warung Babi Guling Pande Egi does the most juicy, flavourful roast pork meat with exceptional pieces of crackling skin. When you order nasi babi guling here, the pork meat is served over rice with delicious sambal and a heap of other sides like lawar, cassava leaves, and off-pork bits. Best of all, it only costed around $3 AUD. We drove half an hour out of the centre of Ubud, towards the villages of Gianyar to find Warung Pande Egi in the middle of a rice field. 🤯 So many people warned us before visiting Bali saying it’s overcrowded, overrated and just “done” now.
