Taking my camera underwater never stops being a little nerve racking 😅 My underwater setup is my Sony A7CII inside a Seafrogs housing. I went with Seafrogs because it gives me full functionality of my camera underwater and it is a much more budget friendly option if you want to start bringing your camera below the surface. I chose the A7CII because it is full frame but still part of Sony’s compact lineup, which makes it way more manageable underwater and not nearly as bulky as some larger bodies. I usually pair it with my 16 to 35mm lens so I can get a nice mix of wide shots and a little bit of flexibility with framing. Putting your camera in a housing and taking it underwater is always a leap of faith, but every time I review the footage, it reminds me why it is so worth it 🙌🏼

The camera that changed it all. i started out with the DJI Action 4, just wanting to capture how beautiful the underwater world is. No big plans. Just curiosity and a lot of dives. Then I picked up the @sonyphinc A7S III with the 24-70mm f2.8 GM II, and suddenly everything felt different. I run it inside the @seafrogs.com.hk @saltedline underwater housing. Being able to get that close because of the minimum focus distance opened up a whole new side of the ocean for me. Little details, textures, colors I never really noticed before. I shoot everything in S-Log3 and color grade in DaVinci Resolve, and with 4:2:2 10-bit, bringing back natural underwater colors feels surprisingly easy. It's less about saving footage and more about revealing what was already there. This camera didn't just level up my videos. It changed how I see every dive. #sonyalpha #sonya7sⅲ
