The Jordan Downs housing projects in Watts were recently torn down. Jordan Downs is where the movie Menace II Society was partially filmed. The housing projects has a significant history that dates all the way back to the Watts riots in the 1960's which is also claimed territory to the Grape Street Crips, a notorious Crip gang with one of the city's deadliest long-running feuds against the Nick G'z (Bounty Hunter Bloods) and Imperial Courts located in Watts, California. Gentrification is happening in almost every poverty-stricken area in major cities across the U.S. So considering the magnitude of gang related violence that reaped havoc in the Jordan Downs projects for decades, why didn't the Grape Street Crips press out the construction workers for making themselves present in their hood without a pass and treat them like a rival set? The White man showed up with bulldozers to tear down the hood without confrontation. The ongoing beef the Grape Street Crips once had with rival black gangs and there was no resistance for the White man when he made it clear the show was over for them. I mean, the senseless killings of black men entering the Jordan Downs for something as small as coming to see a female, and no resistance for the White man coming to tear that shit down? Speaks volumes of black gangs cowardly acts and hatred towards black people. Now, where are the Grape Street Crips going to go? 🤦🏾 They have beef with Crip and Blood sets throughout Los Angeles county. The so called territory no longer exist and the White man showed them that it never belonged to them. DAYUM!! With all the murder mayhem they once committed against black men from opposing neighborhoods and NO SMOKE for Whitey, huh?
