Just took a Waymo Robotaxi with no safety driver on board. It was cool. I understand that at least 250 Waymo self driving taxis are plying the roads in San Francisco at a maximum speed of 25 miles/hour (about 42km/hour). Will Robotaxi comes to Singapore soon? #robotaxi #waymo #stridespremier

Earlier today I was riding a Waymo vehicle in Austin, tx and noticed it turned into an active construction zone and then started driving into oncoming traffic. I pressed rider support only to be transferred to a support team outside of the United States. Once they couldn’t do anything they then transferred me to the support team inside the United States. I’ve always loved riding Waymo’s but after this incident I’m a lot more hesitant because why did it take more than 5 minutes to get someone who can actively help assist the vehicle out of that active construction zone. Lmk in the comments if yall ever had issues with a Waymo vehicle.

A woman’s first Waymo ride in Chandler, Arizona, was more thrilling than expected when the autonomous vehicle stopped in the middle of a multi-lane intersection while performing a turn. Video from Josephine Cristine Kaufman shows the driverless car attempting to cross four lanes of traffic during a left turn, forcing other cars to stop to avoid a collision. “So this was not good 0/10,” Kaufman wrote to her TikTok post.

For weeks citizens in #SanFrancisco have been pulling their collective hair out over the incessant sound of honking horns. The honking horns are coming from the self-driving fleet of taxis known as #Waymo. According to Waymo, the honking is actually a safety feature designed to prevent low-speed collisions. In a statement to Inside Edition, Waymo says "We've updated the software, so our electric vehicles should keep the noise down for our neighbors moving forward."

A routine San Francisco drive turns into a textbook example of autonomous vehicle caution gone awry: two Waymo robotaxis make slight contact or misjudge proximity, activating emergency halts that lock them in position. Additional vehicles join the queue, creating an impromptu blockade as the fleet's conservative algorithms prioritize zero-risk over progress. The footage, shared with pointed irony toward multi-sensor critics, highlights the ongoing challenge in AV development—balancing hyper-safety with practical flow. No harm done, but the resulting gridlock underscores how software decisions, not just hardware, shape real-world performance. In the evolving landscape of self-driving tech, such moments fuel essential discussions on reliability, redundancy, and the path to seamless urban integration. 🚗🤖#Waymo #AutonomousVehicles #SelfDrivingCars #AVTech #SanFranciscoTraffic

Here we have Waymo cars arguing in a parking lot— Which is awful for anyone trying to sleep… but what happens when the stakes are higher? 🤖🚙💥As autonomous vehicles become more common, concerns about safety, liability, and crash risks are growing.
