I recently posted a video that asked the question: Does my wedding coordinator decorate? The answer for some is: No Reasons your wedding coordinator may not do it is because this is a different service. This requires additional staff, this is liability on a couples property, and for some, they may just want to stick to timelines and making sure everything runs smoothly which a lot of people don't understand requires a wedding coordinators full attention. The Muse & Edit answer is: Yes. We try to accommodate our diy couples as well. We started our company as a decorating/tablescape business so we will do as much as we can for our couples. However, we are limited to what we will accommodate and this does not come without an additional fee. Like stated above, it requires additional staff and time set aside to make that happen. Communication is key. Couples need to communicate with their coordinator ALL the items they want handled and placed. Our starting package allows for placing menu cards, name cards, and simple welcome signs. Once it goes outside of that, we go into the decorating services. Note to couples: Sometimes DiYing your wedding may not be worth it and it may be best to hire vendors for those services. Because if it is not your coordinator setting those items up, you are probably going to rely on family and friends and that would be taking away time on the day of. Let me know your thoughts below.
