I see so many talented students struggling with the same hurdles, so here are some key things you can do to effectively showcase not only your portfolio but yourself as well! Building a Standout Portfolio: This is the most crucial part of your journey. When I was first breaking in, these things made the biggest difference: • Showcase only your best, polished work. 7-10 strong projects is the sweet spot. A small portfolio of amazing work is better than a large one with weak pieces. • Tailor it to the specific studio/game genre you love. Teams can immediately tell if you’re genuinely passionate about their projects or just sending a generic application. • Keep it concise and visually cohesive. Show that you can master one style or approach. It demonstrates focus and professional-level skill. Network & Share Your Progress: Your art is amazing, but people need to see it! Don’t just apply blindly. • Join art communities and get feedback. You’ll often find pros in there who work at studios you admire. Journey to the Quest: The Talk part 2 Welcome back everyone! We can now continue the story you've been crying over. Next week we'll be revisiting everyone favorite angsty eye patch boy. If you can't wait a week you can become a member or patron to get every episode a week early. Our little DnD show has grown and evolved to the point that if we want to keep growing it, we will need your help. We want to make a studio quality pilot, which means proper fluid animation. Once we have the episode, we want to release it to all of you and take it to studios to hopefully get a proper show made! In the meantime, we will still be releasing episodes about your favorite Warlock, Bard, Rogue, Ranger, and Barbarian. These adventurers will be gracing instagram, tiktok, and YouTube for the foreseeable future. We just want to make more and expand what we are able to do.
