Sometimes you just need to sit in the car for a minute before the whole wheelchair assembly process begins 😅♿️ It’s not that I don’t want to go inside…it’s that I need to gather the energy first. ever wondered how a wheelchair user and their service dog ride the disney skyliner? this is how i choose to do it! first, i place my dog in a sit stay behind the safety line! this is to ensure i have plenty of room to comfortably maneuver in my chair without any obstacles. i then load backwards onto the gondala as i prefer to be facing the door and my party. my dog is then released to load up with me, and the rest of my party follows suit! i am obsessed with the skyliner, as many know. it's my favorite thing to do at the disney resort (yes, that includes the rides and shows, i'm a simple person). this loading process usually adds a bit of extra joy however as we've received comments such as "now that's how you know it's a service dog!" and "i saw them yesterday, you have to come see this". for many people, a service dog is the best trained dog they'll ever get to see, and a lot of the time it makes their day.
