your wig is probably gonna be one of the most important parts of making your cosplay look like the character but wig styling is stressful and if you mess up badly it can be almost impossible to fix sometimes !! here’s a few things i wish i knew when i first started that would’ve saved sooo much stress and hassle 🕷️🩷 cut your wigs vertically or at an angle cutting your wigs straight across will look blunt and choppy, which can work sometimes but most of the time you’ll want to hold your scissors vertically 🕷️🩷 don’t use a wig head to measure bangs wig heads are smaller than human heads. your bangs will be way too short. measure while wearing your wig or draw on your wig head so you can see where your features actually are 🕷️🩷 tuck/pin parts of your wig behind your ears i always split the hair at my ear and put a pin behind and a pin in front to make the wig look a lil more natural and comfortable. a pin in front of your ear will also help keep your face framing sections closer to your face 🕷️🩷 you can colour parts of your wig at home if you need a section a different colour, you can use eyeshadow if you want it to wash out or alcohol markers/synthetic dye for a more permanent colour. this only works for making parts darker/brighter NOT lighter. 🕷️🩷spraying hairspray on your fingers means you can use it more like a gel this also helps avoid the crispy look you get from too much hairspray and means you can make sections and spikes way more defined than spraying normally - 🔑 cosplay community cosplay tips for beginners cosplay advice for beginners cosplay makeup cosplay wig styling advice cosplay wig advice wig styling tips wig tips how to style wigs #cosplaytips #cosplayadvice #wigstylingtips #wigstyling #cosplay

Ya’ll know who you are 🤨 , ive seen that orange band… Notes 👇 : 1) There are lots of different takes on how lace should be cut. I linked a video. 2) I’m not saying you have to do this after every wear since you probably don’t have the time, but it should be done reasonably often. 3) The lace that I work with is not theater lace or film lace. It’s a more affordable, medium-grade lace that i think is more appropriate for synthetic wigs and specialty styles. So it’s not going to end up entirely transparent. But any build up is going to take the lace further and further away from a seamless blend. 4) I also have a grid concealer to cover my roots. I dont want to remove this. In fact, i dont entirely know how it would come off lol, so that’ll be a future experiment #wigalchemybylamb #dragwigs #lacefrontwig #cosplay #wigstyling
