All you need to know ↓🎾 If you’ve ever wondered how the famous Wimbledon tennis queue actually works… here’s what I learnt from doing it myself this week! ⏰ I joined the queue on Thursday 4th July (Day 4 of Wimbledon) and… it’s an experience. We arrived at 6am, collected our Queue Cards, and finally got into the grounds at 12:30pm. It’s a long wait, but a rite of passage for any tennis fan. 💰 We queued for Ground Passes which were £30 per adult and give you access to the outside courts, Henman Hill, the food & drink areas, and general grounds access. 🎟️ Ground Passes are typically the only passes available if you queue, unless you are one of the very first to join the queue (incredibly early / night before!) where you’ll then get chance to purchase courts 2-Centre Court. ☀️ Top tips: bring snacks, water, sunscreen and something comfy to sit on. There’s toilets, coffee stands and food trucks in the queue area - but it’s still a waiting game. 👀 Once inside, it was very busy—lots of queuing for food, and seats on the smaller courts fill up fast. 💡 My honest advice? Definitely try the queue once for the experience… but if you want guaranteed court seats without the wait, enter the Wimbledon Ballot for next year! 🎾 Did you know you can STILL get Wimbledon tickets? Here is everything you need to know about joining The Queue to secure your tickets: 1️⃣ Arrive EARLY to The Queue We got there at 4am with picnic blankets + pillows and were given Queue Cards. We were still number 2,642 in line 😂 2️⃣ Wait it out and enjoy it! The line starts moving around 8:30am, and by 10:30am we had our £30 Ground Passes in hand. It was all super organised and orderly! 3️⃣ Use the Wimbledon App 📲 Once you’re inside, register immediately for ticket resale via the app. Go to the ticket resale stand where they will scan your QR code, you then choose which court you want tickets for (so if you’re attending with someone l'd recommend one person apply for centre court and the other for No 1 court) and it will then put you on a waiting list. 4️⃣ Watch your phone like a hawk 👀 We got a text about 10 minutes before the match in Centre Court to see Djokovic vs. Müller which was such an unreal game! You’ve only got 10 minutes to get to the resale stand to buy the tickets 😂 Resale ticket profits go to charity which is awesome and Centre Court tickets are £15 and No. 1 and No. 2 court tickets are £10. 5️⃣ Soak up the tradition 🇬🇧 Wimbledon isn’t just about the tennis. This is your sign to brave the queue! After much Reddit and Instagram research we decided to tackle the queue and it was such an amazing experience!! 10/10 would do it again. Here are my top tips ⏱️Arrive at 5am or earlier BEFORE the tube starts running 😴Bring an eye mask, noise cancelling headphones, and a blow up pool toy and SLEEP! We slept from around 5:30-8:30 and by the time we woke up it was time to start moving. It made the rest of the queue go by so fast. 👗Ladies- change into your outfits after your nap. You don’t want to be sleeping on the ground in full glam 🧺 Bring your own food & drink! We only bought cups of ice and strawberries once inside and it ended up being a pretty affordable day out all things considered 📱Download the Wimbledon app to join the resale tickets virtual queue once you’re in the grounds ☔️If there’s even a chance of rain bring ponchos and umbrellas! There’s not many places to take cover 🎾Stick around till the evening and very nicely ask the stewards if there are any spots in 1 Court or Centre Court. HOW TO survive the Wimbledon queue: Harness your inner granola like @sarahguller 🌱 and set up camp! 1. Get your queue card 2. Dumpster dive for some freshly used chairs from early queue-ers 3. Head to the tent donations and pick something sturdy 4. The famous @wimbledon queue experience… very honest review 🥲 (disclaimer this was on the middle Saturday so we were expecting it to be busy but still!) It’s busier in the first week (3–6 hrs wait), but we prefer the second week — shorter queues and fun show matches! Last year it took us just 45 minutes to get in. You can get tickets for Centre Court, No.1 or No.2 Court in the queue. If not, grab a Ground Pass to watch matches on outer courts. Want a show court match? After getting your Ground Pass, head to the online Ticket Resale queue near The Hill. You’ll join a virtual queue via the app — no need to wait physically. 🎟️ Prices: Centre Court £15 | Court 1 & 2 £10 Proceeds go to charity via the Wimbledon Foundation. 🗳️ 2025 BALLOT It’s too late for this year. For 2026, applications reopen in September. But honestly, winning the ballot is tough. 🔁 RESALE WEBSITE People who can’t attend resell their tickets on ticketsale.wimbledon.com.
