Would you pay 550₹ for this diced steak and chips? The Serial Eaters group is amazing! After some early morning food talk that veered to discussing the food at @yokosizzlers , a plan was made by a few Serial Eaters to have dinner there. Normally I try to avoid going out for pleasure to balance my calories because eating is now work. But I said you know what? I can just have the diced steak, it’s not too heavy, good amount of protein and potato is a vegetable. I remember paying 250₹ for this dish ages ago and while I do understand inflation and never complain about prices, I felt like this 2025 version is at least 15% smaller than it used to be. Taste wise it’s pretty much the same as it’s always been and while I did enjoy the steak it didn’t bring me much other than nostalgia which can only take you so far. But like I said, maybe it’s not them, I’m sure it’s me that’s changed over the years. What you didn’t see in the video is a bite of the steak sandwich that I took from someone else and which is something I will get sometime this year to close up my trilogy of Yoko’s dishes.
