Manage your Instagram algorithm manually? I personally had no idea you could do this, and I was stoked to find it, so just bringing it to you in case it’s also useful. Go to any post, click the three dots in the bottom right corner, and then select not interested. From there, click manage your algorithm, and you can completely control what you see. Did you know about this????

🔁 RESET YOUR IG ALGORITHM • Go to your profile • Tap Settings (three lines top right) • Scroll to “Content preferences” • Tap “Reset suggested content” • Tap “Next,” then “Reset” You can also use these instructions to snooze all suggested content for 30 days, allowing you to see only those you follow (and ads, of course—no way to turn those off) #algorithm #IGalgorithm #instagramalgorithm #suggestedposts

Came across this Instagram feature in my settings this morning when I was going in to adjust some of my content preferences! Did you know you can limit things with sensitive content so you’ll see less of it in your feed? You can even add specific keywords to avoid certain topics! What if you could edit your algorithm? Would you say “show me less brainrot” and “show me more educational, inspiring clips”? I did, and while the feature is still in alpha / @instagram is still ironing out the kinks & making it as effective as possible, I’m STOKED about the precedent this sets as the king social media app giving power back to the users so they can have a healthier relationship with their phones.
