Your baby at 9 months ✨ 💤 Most babies will be on two naps by nine months. 💤 Wake windows for a 9 month old on 2 naps will be 3-3.5 hours. 💤 Total sleep in a 24-hour period should be about 14 hours; 11-12 overnight, and three during the day. 💤 A lot of babies will be crawling and becoming very mobile! Make sure they get a lot of practice during the daytime so they aren’t practicing all night. 💤 Separation anxiety is common in this age. 🤍 At 9 months your baby is also capable of sleeping through the night! 😴 Is your baby still waking up multiple times in the night? THEO UPDATE: 9 months old Stats: 25 lbs Teeth: no new teeth 🦷 Talking: he says mama, dada, gaga, hi, more, and loads of babbling! Feeding: Theo has 5 ounces of milk before each sleep. He is eating everything! Even pickles which I’m not a fan of 🤮 Crawling: Theo is still army crawling and is also standing with assistance! Sleep: Theo has 2 naps in the day and bedtime is 7:30pm to 7:30am 👏🏼 Activities: crawling, music, swimming, dancing, babbling, eye contact, peek-a-boo, singing to him, reading and talking! These are big milestones that show us they’re getting curious, coordinated, and ready to take on the world (or at least your cabinets 😅). 🎥 In this reel, I’m sharing some of the big ones we can typically expect by the end of 9 months. 💛 But here’s the real talk: every baby is different. These milestones aren’t a pass/fail - just helpful markers. If you’re ever unsure or feeling that parent gut instinct, it’s always okay to ask questions. 9 months old today… and whew, this month has been a ride. 🥹🐝 Aspen is 9 months and decided all five teeth should come in at once… because why not. 😅 Lots of tossing, turning, being up all night, and not super into solid food right now. Her current favorite food group? Cold squeezie puree pouches. If it’s chilled and in a pouch, she’s in. 🧊😂 She’s crawling everywhere and pulling herself up on anything she can grab — furniture, cabinets, baskets… and yes, our dogs, who are her favorite “handles,” even though they sometimes walk away mid-pull like, “Absolutely not, ma’am.” 🐶 We call her Busy Bee for a reason — always moving, always exploring, always convinced there’s something very important she needs to get to immediately. She’s not quite couch-walking yet, but she’s trying really hard… which means nothing in this house is safe anymore. Sleep has been rough this month, but even in the tired nights she’s still the happiest, funniest little human. Her personality is so big already — she understands so much and definitely has opinions about life. She absolutely hates being restrained: 🚗 Car seats = offensive 🪑 High chairs = unacceptable 🛒 Strollers = okay- not so bad. Anything with straps is clearly a crime against Busy Bee and she will let you know. I never thought I’d be a co-sleeping mom, but here we are, 9 months in, and I can’t imagine it any other way. It still blows my mind how in tune a mom and baby become. Being able to breastfeed Aspen for 9 months — especially after not being able to with Trey for long — has been my biggest win. Even now that she has teeth… and occasionally likes to “test” them on me just to keep things exciting. 😅🦷 9 months in and she already runs the house — I just pay the mortgage. 💕
