What started as separate rovings became rolags on the blending board. Next I'll spin them into a single strand and chain ply them for soft color shifts. Fiber prep is where the color starts.

Wow, my last hackle blending video was seen by over half a million people and gained me over 800 new followers, which is nice 😀 A lot of people asked me to slow it down so that they could see what my hands were doing, so here it is at a more sedate 150% speed. This is the preparation for the third ply of my fractal yarn. You can see that I draft off 4 times in the same spot before moving along the hackle.
