Force = mass x acceleration. With all other things remaining equal, increase force to accelerate faster. @kalenwalker13 is a great example of applying incredible amounts of force in a short period of time. Increases in mass (body weight) will slow you down unless you counteract the increase in mass with a greater increase in force. Having ample amounts of sprint and plyo work in your program is essential for speed improvements. Lift heavy to increase force production. Sprint, jump snd move things quickly so you can apply that force fast. #acceleration #sprinttraining #forceproduction #strengthandconditioning

Acceleration isn’t just about speed. It’s about how your brain experiences change over time. In cars like the Audi R8, brutal 0–100 launches hit so fast that your brain can’t fully keep up. The rate of change is so sharp that it makes extreme performance feel smooth and almost easy. At higher speeds, that feeling changes. Air resistance rises fast and starts working against you. Every extra km/h needs a lot more power, so acceleration slows down and the experience feels more controlled, even though the car is still pushing its limits. What feels fast or slow isn’t fixed. It depends on how your brain processes rapid acceleration versus steady high speed under completely different physical forces. Like this content? When you watch someone accelerate, one of the first areas you look at is the foot strike position. When foot strike happens too far ahead of the center of mass, braking impulse goes up. More of that contact is spent slowing the body down instead of projecting it forward. A position can look aggressive and still create net braking. Another athlete can look less conventional and still do a much better job orienting force in the direction of travel. We don’t want to over-project, nor do we just want to tap on the ground real quickly. It’s a balance. We do also have to consider the constraints of each athlete and WHY they might move the way they do. You can’t coach acceleration by copying screenshots and shouting cues. You have to create the conditions and capacities that allow it to happen. That’s why I wrote Force & Expression. Not to give you more drills or more screenshots to copy, but to give you a better framework for thinking. Transfer. diagnosis. exercise selection. programming architecture. Understanding what qualities actually matter and how to connect them back to performance. If you want that framework, that’s Force & Expression. If you want that framework plus the practical programming side, that’s the Force & Speed bundle with Speed Kills. #speedtraining #acceleration #getfaster #sprints #sprinting

Throw these in your next acceleration workout if you are struggling with projecting outwards. Trying new start variations can teach you how to actually PUSH and produce more horizontal force by creating a new challenge that your body has to overcome and adapt to. Acceleration isn’t just speed… it’s perception manipulated by physics. In high-performance cars like the Audi R8, rapid 0–100 acceleration compresses time so aggressively that the brain struggles to process the rate of change, making extreme speed feel almost effortless. At higher velocities, however, the sensation shifts, because aerodynamic drag increases exponentially, requiring significantly more power for smaller gains, which is why top speed feels smoother but demands far more engineering. It shows that what feels “slow” or “fast” isn’t absolute, it’s how the human mind interprets acceleration versus sustained speed under completely different physical conditions. Love cars? What Happens If You Never Stop Accelerating? 🚀 Imagine accelerating nonstop… forever. No slowing down. No stopping. Just constant acceleration. At first, nothing feels unusual. But as speed increases, physics starts changing everything. If you never stopped accelerating: • Your body would feel constant force (like gravity) • Air resistance would become deadly • At extreme speeds, relativity begins to matter • Time would slow down compared to Earth • Approaching the speed of light changes reality itself According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, nothing with mass can reach the speed of light — it would require infinite energy. So what actually happens first? Does your body survive? Does time change for you? In this video, we break down the real science behind infinite acceleration and what it would mean for the human body.
