How do blind and low-vision fans “watch” live sports? Until recently, they relied on sighted people to describe what was happening on the court. #ad @Ticketmaster invited us to experience a @bucks game that’s changing that.   With the @onecourt.io device, live sports are now accessible through haptic technology—real-time vibrations paired with audio play-by-play—allowing fans to independently follow and feel what’s happening on the court.   Brennan and Mina were fully immersed and able to engage with the game on their own, without assistance. Thank you to the Bucks and Ticketmaster for prioritizing accessibility. The OneCourt device is available to rent at all Bucks home games. Get your tickets on Ticketmaster, the Official Ticket Marketplace of the Milwaukee Bucks!   Video description for our visually impaired friends: Video takes place at the Milwaukee Bucks game. Brennan (21) and his sister Mina (17), both blind, sit side by side using tablet-like haptic devices shaped like a basketball court. They feel real-time vibrations that track the ball’s movement. The video ends with moments from the game, picking up the device at Guest Services, and a shot of a chocolate Labrador guide dog.

Earlier, blind and low-vision fans depended on others to describe what was happening on the court. Now technology lets them feel the game — through real-time vibrations and live audio play-by-play. When accessibility improves, independence follows. Inclusion isn’t sympathy… it’s equal experience. 🤍 Every stadium, every school, and every community should be like this — where no one is left behind. For many people, sports is something you watch… For a visually impaired fan, today it became something you can feel. 🏀♿ With a tactile board that vibrates and tracks the ball in real-time, they could finally follow every pass, every shot, every score — independently. This isn’t sympathy. This is accessibility. This is inclusion. When technology adapts, barriers disappear and joy becomes equal for everyone. ❤️ #AccessibilityMatters #Inclusion #BlindCommunity #DisabilityInclusion #AdaptiveTechnology SportsForAll AbilityNotDisability VisualImpairment InclusiveSports EqualAccess Inspiration

The @orlandomagic are raising the bar for accessibility with a new device that allows blind and low vision fans to experience LIVE NBA action. 🏀 He brought my friend @jsuttongold to his first live game since losing his vision, and the One Touch Tactile Board changed everything. As the ball moves across the court, the board shifts in real time. One vibration for a missed shot. Two vibrations for a made basket. They cheered together in sync with every play. True inclusion in action. Huge appreciation to the @orlandomagic for creating an experience where everyone can feel the game. 💙🔥 _________________ 𝕱𝖔𝖑𝖑𝖔𝖜 @Disability_Diary for more interesting content surrounding Persons with Disabilities. Doing good feels good During a basketball game in Zeeland, Michigan, blind high school student Jules Hoogland got the chance to take a free throw as part of the Unified Sports program, which brings students with and without disabilities together. The crowd went silent so she could hear a soft tap on the backboard — her sound cue to aim. When the ball swished through the net, the gym exploded with cheers, turning the moment into a powerful celebration of courage, inclusion, and unity. 📸: MLive

Moments like this are what make life fun to all mankind! During a basketball game in Zeeland, Michigan, blind high school student Jules Hoogland was given a moment she’ll never forget. As part of the Unified Sports program, which brings students with and without disabilities together, Jules stepped to the free-throw line with the entire gym behind her. The crowd fell completely silent so she could listen for the gentle tap on the backboard — her cue to aim. Then came the sound everyone was waiting for: swish. The ball dropped cleanly through the net, and the silence instantly turned into thunderous cheers. Teammates, opponents, and fans erupted together, celebrating far more than just a basket. It was a reminder of what sports are really about — courage, inclusion, and unity, all shared in one unforgettable moment✨ Follow us @athlcore

You know how sometimes people just miss the point completely? This Twitter thread is a prime example. The Orioles wearing uniforms with Braille lettering is a cool move to promote inclusivity and raise awareness, but some folks seem to be asking if blind people can even see the uniforms at all. It’s like they didn’t grasp the whole idea of awareness or support. You’ve got comments questioning the purpose of Braille on sports jerseys, with some even jokingly dragging in the deaf community as if they’re part of the confusion. It's a wild combination of missing the mark and showcasing how some people can really complicate a simple initiative. Seriously, moments like this remind us why Twitter is both a goldmine and a mess.
