Needless to say… Jellybean is my life’s BIGGEST blessing! That first 16 months waiting for adoption day to come felt like a lifetime. The past six years, have flown by in a blink of an eye. Thank you so much to everyone who sent love this week and concern for her. We are still accepting prayers. She’s at home and we’re holding out hope that she just had a horrible virus.🦠 And thanks to everyone who’s cheered on this journey. Everything great comes with risk. Her smile and laugh along with the instant bond that we’ve been lucky enough to have since she was first placed in my arms have well exceeded my wildest dreams!

5 years ago today, I sighed the biggest sigh of relief when I was able to say "forever" and adopt the most perfect-for-me little angel ever created! Despite my being "happy" I deeply longed to be a mom. It took me longer than it could have to become a mom because I secretly feared that I only thought motherhood would make me happier. But my heart always knew the truth. And I will always scream from the rooftops that stepping into the fostercare process was the scariest pursuit of my life...AND the BEST decision I've ever made!
