My 40-Year-Old Life… Hell yes, I finally made it to 40. And truthfully? I’m so damn excited for this milestone. Last year, turning 39 felt like stalling out—I was actually wishing I could just skip ahead and be 40 already. Why? Honestly, I think it’s because even in my 20s, people always said I had the soul of a 40-year-old. And maybe they were right. Because here, in this season of life, my soul is shining brighter than ever. The best part? I decided that would be true. This life I’m living feels like a dream—some days I have to pinch myself. I love the woman I’ve become. I feel strong in my skin, confident as a mom, a wife, a business owner, and a leader. I spent years chasing perfection in all of those roles—and then I found my peace in just being real. I remember turning 20 and spiraling into a quarter-life crisis, convinced I hadn’t done enough. At 30, I was dreaming of a family and feeling like something was missing. But somewhere between 30 and 40… I found it all. **Shout out to my husband who plays a pivotal role in loving me and supporting me, allowing me to be all the things above! So yeah—you should want to be 40 too. Cheers to the wild, beautiful adventure ahead.

I’m 49 and I’m not afraid to admit that… 1. I look like I have a full and established life, but most days I’m carrying a constant mental load. 2. Balancing hospital work, private practice, study, and being a single mum means my mind is always “on.” 3. The hardest part isn’t the work, it’s the lack of space between everything. 4. I get things done, but often at the cost of my own energy. 5. Feeling physically tired has become… normal. Even on “good” days. 6. I still care deeply about my patients and the work I do. 7. I just don’t want a life that only works because I keep pushing myself. 8. Lately, I’ve been questioning what a good life actually looks like for me now. 9. I don’t have answers yet. I’m just paying attention. I’m sharing this because I know how easy it is to feel like you’re the only one carrying all of this. Things get a lot easier when you actually, truly understand this. I’ve always kinda marched to the beat of my own drum but now I don’t hide it. I know my strengths and flaws. Im comfortable with who I am. I do things for me and not other peoples approval. Shedding the last 39 years like a snake with a VI Peel from @aestheticsbyheather_rn Peeling on day 3 & 4 was intense, but by day 5 it had mostly subsided and I’m loving the results left behind! The dark spot on my left cheek has faded significantly 🙌 all I can say is wear your sunscreen, especially on the left side of your face while driving!
