Beacon basin is open! Are you looking to brush up on your companion rescue skills? Head up to Mammoth Mountain and take a run through the Avalanche Transceiver Training Center! Located in Gus’s Pasture, just uphill of Main lodge on the east side of the base of chair 6, the beacon basin is a free resource open to the public. You do not need a lift ticket to take advantage. The park is open 7 days a week during operational hours. Huge thanks to Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol for putting in the time for installation and maintenance. #esavalanche
