MUSALMANI BRIDGE IN NAGOTHANE,MAHARASHTRA These days I spend a lot of time creating sculptures for a township in Nagothane. Nagothane is an hour’s drive from Alibaug. There is a bridge over river Amba which was constructed in the 16 th century by the Bijapur Sultan to facilitate the movement of his troops to fight the Portuguese. The Mysuru Palace, also known as the Amba Vilas Palace, is one of the most iconic landmarks of India and a jewel of Karnataka’s cultural heritage. Located in the heart of Mysuru city, it was the royal residence of the Wadiyar dynasty, who ruled the Kingdom of Mysore for centuries. ✨ Architecture & Beauty The palace is a breathtaking blend of Indo-Saracenic, Hindu, Mughal, Rajput, and Gothic styles, making it a masterpiece of architectural fusion. Its grand façade, intricately carved doors, ornamental ceilings, and expansive courtyards reflect the opulence of the royal era. The palace is built with fine granite, marble domes, and golden accents, with the central golden dome being its crown jewel. 🌟 Inside the Palace The interiors are equally mesmerizing—ornate halls with stained glass, Belgian crystal chandeliers, rosewood carvings, and murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and the royal lifestyle. The Durbar Hall, with its high ceilings and carved pillars, is a sight that leaves visitors spellbound. 🎆 Illumination & Dasara Festival One of the most spectacular sights is the palace illuminated with nearly 100,000 bulbs every Sunday evening and during the famous Mysuru Dasara festival. During Dasara, the palace becomes the heart of celebrations, featuring cultural performances, processions, and rituals that attract tourists from around the world. 📖 Legacy & Significance The current structure was commissioned in 1897 after a fire destroyed the old palace, and it was completed in 1912 under the guidance of British architect Henry Irwin. Today, it stands not just as a royal residence but also as a living museum of Mysore’s glorious past. Visiting Mysuru Palace feels like stepping back into history—where royalty lived, traditions thrived, and art found its grandest expression. #mysuru #mysurudasara #mysurupalace #mysuruphotography #kannadathi💛❤️ #kannada #karnataka #bangalore #bengaluru #dasara #elegant #ykc #mymysuru #nammakarnataka #reels #trend #legacy #mysuru_memes #reelsinstagram #shotoniphone #iphone16plus #cinematic #landscape #fyp
