The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 10 Mathematics examination today, February 17, 2026, in both Standard and Basic formats. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that it will introduce On-Screen Marking (OSM) for evaluating Class 12 answer sheets starting from the 2026 board exams.  Class 10 answer books will continue to be assessed in physical mode for now. The move is aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and reducing manual errors in the evaluation process. CBSE conducts exams for nearly 46 lakh students in India and 26 countries. With OSM, the Board expects faster assessment, elimination of totalling mistakes, and reduced paperwork.  Teachers will be able to evaluate copies digitally from their own schools, saving time and costs while ensuring minimal disruption to teaching. Schools have been directed to upgrade infrastructure, including computers, internet connectivity, and power backup. CBSE will conduct training sessions, dry runs, and provide technical support to ensure a smooth transition ahead of the 2026 exams.
