Adding this to your hiking bucket list might be the best decision you’ll ever make. After days on trail, reaching Lake Oberon felt unreal. Tasmania’s southwest honestly feels like another planet. 📍 Western Arthurs Traverse Save this for your future Tasmania trip.

A literal hidden gem 👀 You will never guess what is randomly located on Atherton’s Main Street! I indulged in the feminine urge to touch sparkly things at @thecrystalcaves 💅 ✨ This man-made cave is home to over 600 crystals and fossils from around the world. My personal favourite? A huge amethyst that is surrounded by a river of rose quartz 🌙 ✌️ How’s that for good vibes? As a crystal obsessed girlie, I HAD to crack open a 44 million year old geode. The noise is a bit of a jumpscare 👹but being the first person to see inside a prehistoric gas bubble is priceless 💎

Have you ever seen a tree kangaroo? 😍😄🌿 This is the first time we’ve ever seen one in our back yard! (Simi was sick in bed and heard some noise in the back bushes, and filmed this out his window. So cool. 😎) [Edit: we thought he might be eating our passionfruit as he was out there for a while and there were a couple of freshly eaten passionfruit on the ground, and I searched online and read that they can sometimes eat the fruit. But I’ve since been informed that they don’t eat the fruit, only the leaves! 🍃 I guess the possums ate the fruit 😄] These adorable creatures are quite rare, found mostly here on the Atherton Tablelands, and they look like a cross between a teddy bear and a kangaroo with a long, furry tail 😁. It’s always exciting to see one in the wild! #fnqlife #treekangaroo #lumholtz #athertontablelands

The best road-trip to chase waterfalls in Australia! Save these for your bucket list💚 As we drove from Melbourne through NSW and Queensland, these were our favourite and most impressive waterfalls: Northern NSW: 📍Crystal Shower Falls, Dorrigo, NSW 📍 Minyon Falls, Byron Bay, NSW Gold Coast hinterland: 📍 Purling Brook Falls, Springbrook, QLD 📍 Twin Falls, Springbrook, QLD Far North Queensland: 📍The Strand Waterfall, Townsville, QLD 📍Wallaman Falls, QLD 📍Millaa Millaa Falls, Atherton Tablelands, QLD 📍 Zillie Falls, Atherton Tablelands, QLD 📍 Ellinjaa Falls, Atherton Tablelands, QLD 📍 Mungalli Falls, Atherton Tablelands, QLD 📍 Pepina Falls, Atherton Tablelands, QLD 📍 Dinner Falls Atherton Tablelands, QLD 📍 Stoney Creek Falls, Cairns, QLD (seen on the Kuranda scenic railway) 📍 Barron Falls, Cairns, QLD The best part about these waterfalls is that they barely require any hiking to get to! Most have elevated platforms giving you fantastic views of the falls. Some require short walks down the bottom so it’s best to research how long it will take before you visit! #waterfall #australia #halflap #eastcoast #summer #summertrip #roadtrip #bestwaterfalls #travelideas #nsw #queensland #athertontablelands #cairns
