Atin Ito is the first Philippine civil society group to reach Pag-asa Cay 2. “Matagumpay po nating naitaas ang ating bandila sa Pag-asa Cay 2 sa kabila ng mabigat na presensiya ng Tsina,” Ismula said, calling the action a peaceful but defiant stand against illegal incursions. “This is a defiant but peaceful act of resistance against China’s aggression within our waters. WATCH: Before the launching of the Atin Ito jetski flag ride this afternoon, a PLA Navy vessel bearing hull number 525, a Jiangkai II-class (Type 054A) frigate, maneuvered unusually close to the contingent. It approached within approximately 1,000 yards of ML Chowee, the vessel that deployed the jetski from MV Kapitan Oca. WATCH: Three China Coast Guard (CCG) vessels were seen shadowing the fourth Atin Ito! Civlian Mission who are aboard the MV Kapitan Felix Oca as the ship approaches Pag-Asa island, only around 2.3 nautical miles away. A ship numbered 5102 was monitored to be 4 nautical miles away alongside a CCG 5101 at 10 nautical miles, Atin Ito! reported. ICYMI: JETSKI FLAG RIDE SA PAG-ASA ISLAND, ISINAGAWA NG ATIN ITO COALITION Matagumpay na isinagawa ng grupong Atin Ito ang kauna-unahang jetski flag ride sa karagatan ng Pag-asa Island bilang bahagi ng kanilang ika-apat na Civilian Mission sa West Philippine Sea.
