How I FINALLY Grew My Back⬇️ 1. Width Vs Thickness When I first started for the majority of my first 2-4 years honestly I focused heavily on growing my lats. So I did a bunch of pulldowns and pullovers but ended up lacking that density and thickness. I then swapped over to splitting workouts into one width focused and then one thickness focused. Forcing myself to do a lot more rows. That helped a bunch but later on I fully swapped to just focusing on my thickness for a good year and it BLEW IT UP. Now my lower back is my weakest point, so what do you think I’ve been doing? Giving it more attention, more sets, and more exercises. Moral of the story here is pick your exercises wisely and be smart. Make sure you’re hitting all the parts of your back, and focusing heavily on your weak points. That’s what I did and it worked wonders. 2. No Ego And Slow Eccentric/Stretch Back for me was a muscle group I ego lifted with heavily. It’s super easy to kinda just sling the weight around and move from A to B. But when you slow it down and focus on actually using the correct muscle and feeling it, it works 100% better. I actually got the idea from cbum to slow down the eccentric portion of the movement, shoutout the goat. If you drop the weight and start to actually feel it, you’ll grow I promise. 3. Straps Straps 100% are the most useful gym accessory and they’re like 12, get them! It takes so much out of your forearms. I struggled a lot with my grip and my grip was so much weaker then my actual back. Once I got the straps I got so much stronger! 3 quick and easy tips.
