As soon as I saw this bear I just knew I had to draw them. I decided to use the Ohuhu alcohol and acrylic markers that I was sent in the Christmas gift box so my colour palette was quite limited, but it was so fun trying to figure out how to get similar colours and also give it way more than it originally had. This piece is called ‘Icebound’ and is about strength, isolation and survival. Polar bears are the largest land carnivores on the planet, with paws up to 30cm wide. In the meantime I’m working on new care bears, here’s one of my favorites from last summer. Yes, it’s pink, I know share bear is purple, but I love pink so much and wanted to create my own version. This is a subject that I love very much. Care bears are one of my all time favorite toys.. When I was a child I had several of them. I had a lot of toys. I was obsessed with stuffed animals. I had one I always slept with which was a little horse... One day I decided to cut his hair thinking it would grow back. Thinking back, the new haircut gave it a very punk look!
