After over 6 years of living in this beautiful city, here are my top 10 reasons why I love it : 1. Safety and cleanliness are paramount. Coming from a small town, the transition to college exposed me to crime concerns. In Bend, however, whether hiking solo or strolling downtown late at night, I feel secure. The community’s commitment to maintaining a safe and tidy environment is one of my favorite things about Bend. 2. It’s a big city with a small community feel. Bend is definitely growing, but with that being said this town is still a very small community and I love that. 3. Bend residents are HAPPY! We are lucky to live in a place where we get as much sunshine as we do and in return it makes for happy people! I moved here knowing nobody except my brother and I was definitely nervous moving from a place I knew everyone to a place I knew no one and this town quickly felt like home. 🫶🏼 4. There’s ALWAYS something happening. Bend is full of activities, music, events, etc. it’s a place to be social and fun! The summer is truly my favorite time 😍 5. The accessibility to literally EVERYTHING! Rivers, lakes, trails, dog parks, outdoor amphitheater, waterfalls, breweries, mountains, I could go on and on!! Bend truly offers everything one could desire, making it hard to justify leaving even during the peak of summer. 6. It’s a dog friendly town. There are so many great dog parks and places you can bring your dog along with you! 7. Hayden Homes Amphitheater - now that I live in a town with an outdoor Amphitheater, it’s very hard for me to go to a concert in an auditorium where I have an assigned seat. Once you visit Hayden Homes Amphitheater you won’t go back. 8. 364 days of sunshine - ok ok I know that may be a stretch BUT we do have sunshine almost all year round. You may wake up to snow one winter morning but it will likely be blue sky in sunshine later that day. From a girl who use to struggle with snow and the winters, Bend sure makes it a lot easier to continue to do your favorite activities. 9. 4 Seasons - Who doesn’t love a good spring, summer, fall and winter? In Bend we get it ALL! 10. You are only a 4.5 hour drive to the Oregon Coast! 😍
