🚨CALL TO ACTION🚨 👉 Follow @berkeleylawforpalestine @ucbdivest 👉 Use the email template (LINK IN BIO) calling for UC Berkeley to divest, the resignation of Professor Fisk and Dean Chemerinksy, and to institute a Palestine Studies program. ‼️BREAKING: UC BERKELEY LAW PROFESSOR ASSAULTS PALESTINIAN MUSLIM HIJABI LAW STUDENT‼️ The Dean of Berkeley Law, Erwin Chemerinsky, a staunch supporter of the “Israeli state,” hosted a dinner for all graduating law students on the last day of Ramadan. Head of Berkeley Law Students for Justice in Palestine, Malak Afaneh, got up to draw attention to the law school’s investment in the genocide of Palestinians and their $2 million investment in weapons manufacturers, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, BlackRock, and more. On the last day of Ramadan, UC Berkeley Law Professor Catherine Fisk, and Dean Chemerinsky’s wife, assaulted a Palestinian Muslim hijabi law student that was exercising her First Amendment rights to draw attention to UC complicity in the genocide of the Palestinian people. Fisk and Chemerinsky would rather resort to violently assaulting one of their students than face the truth of their support for genocide. Upon saying “Assalamulaikum,” “peace and blessings to you all in Arabic,” and talking about the importance of Ramadan for both Palestinians and Muslims, UC Berkeley Law professor Catherine Fisk assaulted the law student. The admin at UC Berkeley Law have a history of calling for the sanctioning of students that express concern over Palestine. Many have said that Dean Chemerinsky is in the running to be the next chancellor of UC Berkeley. UC Berkeley, is this who’d you like to be the next chancellor?

How to succeed as a corporate lawyer in biglaw: 1. Respond quickly. Even if you don’t have the answer yet. A simple “Received, I’ll revert shortly” shows reliability and keeps the deal moving. 2. Never send the first draft externally. Junior lawyers should always have documents reviewed by a senior associate or partner before anything goes to the client. 3. Version your documents properly. Lawyers live in documents. Always keep track of versions: SPA_v3 → SPA_v4_clean → SPA_v4_redline. Never risk sending the wrong version. 4. Don’t surprise the partner or team. If something is going wrong on a deal, flag it early. Partners dislike surprises more than mistakes. 5. Always check defined terms. In contracts, capitalised words have specific meanings. If they’re wrong, the entire clause can break. 6. Use Track Changes on every document. Never send revised documents without tracked edits. It allows the entire deal team to see what has changed. 7. Keep emails concise. Partners and clients are busy. Say what’s needed clearly and efficiently, avoid unnecessary fluff. 8. Understand the deal before asking questions. Read the main documents and the email chain first. Thoughtful questions make a much stronger impression. 9. Proofread everything before sending. I been guilty of rushing emails with bad typos, not a good look. Small mistakes create big impressions. Always spell check and review your work before sending it internally or externally.
