Bible journaling can be so pretty and aesthetic. But what’s most important is that you’re in the Word! That’s all that matters. I’m working my way very slowly through the Bible Recap, and I’m LOVING it! I’ve learned so much, grasped so many things I did not understand before, and have written gobs of (not very pretty) notes in the margins of my Bible. All these silly notes I shared came from the book of Numbers, which surprisingly I’m really enjoying! #thebiblerecap Which book of the Bible are you reading right now? P.S. The first few pictures I found on Pinterest. If it’s your photo let me know so I can give you credit. 🫶🏼

I LOVE bible journaling, and to be honest there’s so many different ways to do it. My prayer is that as I teach you what *I* do it would get wheels turning in your head for how YOU could do it too! Maybe even putting your own spin on it! Materials I use: ✨Single Column Journaling Bible (I like ESV) *gives you a bunch of room for notes* ✨Mr. Pen Bible highlighters (on Amazon) *they don’t bleed through!* ✨Transparent sticky notes that match my highlighter colors (on Amazon) *the TRANSPARENT sticky notes actually stay down and don’t curl up on the pages, unlike normal sticky notes* - using sticky notes instead of writing in your Bible allows you to change the notes if you make a mistake. ✨Normal printing paper (for adding extra paper to your Bible) *you could get fancy paper, but I like it more plain* ✨Transparent paper mending tape (on Amazon) *to add the extra paper to your bible* . . And here’s what I do!!👇🏼 ⭐️1) I find an Outline of the book I’m in so I understand it as a whole first. Then I’ll write how it’s divided up in my Bible and use a specific highlighter color over that. ⭐️2) I’ll choose 3 different colors to rotate through for this book and I’ll use the 3 matching transparent sticky notes as well. (This just keeps my notes looking more organized. For example, in this book I’m rotating through yellow, pink and green) ⭐️3) I’ll read just a paragraph or “heading-to-heading” a day and highlight: - What stands out - Verses I’m confused on - OR when I see Gods attributes clearly on display ⭐️4) Then I’ll write, on the same color of sticky note: - WHY that verse stood out - What this confusing verse means (after I look it up in a commentary like Enduring Word *it’s free online, and super solid!*) - OR what attribute of God I see displayed in this verse and how. ⭐️5) Lastly, when I run out of room for notes on the sides of my Bible I’ll add paper to it!! See all the sticky notes on the left side of my Bible in this reel?? That’s because I added a sheet of paper to the crease of the page with that paper mending tape!! - I love this tape because it’s very forgiving if you mess up. You can easily take it off with no damage to your Bible page!

How I *personally* study the Bible💜👇🏼 I tried showing all I do in a short video but of course, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask after reading the rest of this caption🤗💜 Items used in this video: •My NWT Study Bible (free at any KH of JWs) •Bible tabs from our shop (SpiritualGemsShop.com) •Frixion Erasable Highlighters (available on Amazon) •My personal Bible Study Journal (available on our website - link in bio) •Sticky notes available at any craft store 🫶🏼 Also! I wanted to point out that all the notes I write down are either personal to me or research I’ve done and learned from the footnotes or research guide. My journal has 4 guided questions to answer after reading so I’ll answer those questions first if applicable. I also only read a chapter a day. (I’m currently in Psalms and Luke)💜 I hope this video helps in some way!💜💜 remember to keep praying and to keep drawing close to God through prayer and Bible study🫶🏼 #jw

5 mistakes to AVOID when doing personal Bible study👇🏼💜 1️⃣Comparing your personal study to others That’s why it’s called PERSONAL study. It’s not about anyone else, it’s not a competition, it’s not a race, it’s to draw closer to JEHOVAH GOD. Jehovah doesn’t compare you to others so why should you? Comparing yourself to others will just weaken your faith and discourage you from even starting or to keep going 2️⃣Not meditating Reading the Bible and NOT meditating is like eating food and then just spitting it out. It may taste good but you’re not getting the nutrients and benefits you need from it. To meditate on what you read means to really grasp the meaning of the passages. It helps to strengthen your faith and retain information better. 3️⃣Not using resources or help The Bible is a beautiful, deep book. There are many scriptures that may be confusing when you’re just reading alone. So make sure to make full use of any resources and help that is available to help better understand what a verse/scripture means 4️⃣Becoming presumptuous/arrogant The Bible is a book full of wisdom and knowledge. You will learn SO much from God’s Word and that’s a great thing! But don’t let what you’ve learned, get to your head and make you judgmental of others. You’re not better than anyone because you read more or know more. (Php. 2:3,4) Of course, reading and meditating on God’s word should help with the fruitage of the spirit but it’s always an ongoing process. 5️⃣Reading verses out of context Sometimes, a verse may seem very straight to the point. But like media, sometimes bits and pieces don’t represent the whole picture. So always make sure to read an entire passage, look up the footnotes and references when applicable, and do your due diligence when meditating on a particular verse. Don’t let yourself or others twist what the Bible is saying, study for yourself and dig deep for true, spiritual gems💜
