I’m working my way very slowly through the Bible Recap, and I’m LOVING it! I’ve learned so much, grasped so many things I did not understand before, and have written gobs of (not very pretty) notes in the margins of my Bible. Here’s the TOP 3 things I wish I knew as a beginner: STEP 1) Start The Bible Recap plan for free on the YouVersion Bible App. It’s a chronological plan. This means it’s a plan that reads through the Bible in order of Historical events. This specific Plan is great because after each reading the author has summarized the context, the importance and has a characteristic of God that we can learn about! Blueletterbible.org also has a free chronological Bible reading plan. https://www.blueletterbible.org/assets/pdf/dbrp/1Yr_ChronologicalPlan.pdf STEP 2) Use a Study Bible or Bible Commentary (deeper dive). Free resources for Bible studies are in the LOGOS Bible app. My favorite commentary for a deep dive is Enduring Word 📖 STEP 3) PRAY! I wish I would’ve learned sooner to blend prayer into my Bible reading before, after, during.
