I love the idea of adding sky hides into an elosure! It really optimizes the space. I only hope my Ball Python uses it 🥲 Installation: - drilled 2 set of holes on both sides of the hide. Weaved a zip tie through the holes and tightened, but still leaving at least half an inch of space. From there I used wire to attach the hide to the mesh lid of the enclosure by tying it to the ziptie first. Of course, this step can be skipped if you decide to drill a hole into the mesh and slide the ziptie through. I can’t stress how important options in an enclosure are. This young ball python made her way over to the cool side of her enclosure, buried herself under a pile of leaves at the damp base of a Birds Nest Fern and found her perfect humidity level for shedding and a good looking shed to boot! For her enclosure we are using our own BioActive Supply Grasslands substrate. My rescue ball python was literally treated like trash before I was lucky enough to call him mine. I want nothing but the best for my sweet boy so I knew I had to make him the best enclosure I was capable of. This was actually not super difficult and has worked out so well for him. He loves to climb and explore at night. During the day he sleeps and basks.
