Nothing bonds a hairstylist and client faster than surviving blonde breakage together… but we’d rather not. Here’s how to avoid breakage between appointments: 1️⃣ Brush from the ends up, not the roots down Ripping a brush from scalp to ends on bleached hair is basically snap-city. Start at the ends, work up slowly, and your blonde will survive another day. 2️⃣ Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase Cotton = friction = frizz + breakage. Silk or satin lets fragile blonde hair glide instead of shred while you sleep. 3️⃣ Stop heat-styling wet or damp hair Blow-drying soaking hair on full heat or going in with straighteners before it’s fully dry is one of the fastest ways to destroy blonde. Dry gently first, then style. 4️⃣ Use actual salon-quality repair products (not just purple shampoo) Purple shampoo tones. It does not repair. Blonde hair needs bond builders, moisture, and protein — otherwise it slowly dissolves. 5️⃣ Book trims before your ends start ghosting If your ends look thin, see-through, or crispy… they’re already breaking. Small regular trims keep blonde strong and stop splits from travelling upward. If your blonde is feeling fragile, stretchy, or snapping — don’t wait until it’s a correction appointment.
