10 things you need to know about postpartum bleeding: 1️⃣ Everyone bleeds, even my c-section mamas 💗 Hi, I’m Trish, also known as @labor.nurse.mama. Follow me for all things pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. 💗⁠ 2️⃣ It can last for up to 12 weeks; average is around 4-6 weeks after baby 😳 3️⃣ small clots are expected during the first few days but contact the provider if more or more significant are noted 4️⃣ You should not soak a full pad in one hour; contact the provider if you do. 5️⃣ Don’t leave home without pads and peri-bottle 6️⃣ It is normal to gush if you lie down for a while and get up. It pools in the vag**a 7️⃣ You can make it worse by overdoing it.
