I get asked about this A LOT so I finally broke it down for you guys ☺️ If you’ve taken my sessions before, you will be very familiar with this haha. I use this a lot in my combos because it’s one of my favorite moves. It’s effective, versatile, and great for building body awareness. The ability to body roll freely will be a GAME CHANGER for your dancing!! It’s ok if it feels awkward at first- dance is just practice! Save this reel so you can come back to it. Here’s the steps: 1️⃣ Use a wall at first! It may seem silly but it’s how I learned. 2️⃣ Touch your chin, chest, belly, pelvis, then sit your butt down. Chin, chest, belly, pelvis, butt down. 3️⃣Practice! You’re not going to be able to do this after watching a 7 second reel. Make sure to give it time and keep trying! 4️⃣ Have fun! Rolls 🌀 Today’s move is roll 🔥 Here is 5 steps to drill it: 1. Head roll - before doing it warm up your neck👊 2. Chest roll - focus on your shoulders 👍 3. Hips roll - isolate the upper body and roll hips 👍 4. Knee roll - bend knees to the diagonal and start rolling 🙌 5. Make a spiral - connect all previous 4 steps and make a spiral from head to knees and back.
