Follow us inside Lowe’s to see the work in action ⬇️👀 Odin — an 8-month-old intact male Cane Corso — is learning how to navigate his world through a new lens. The phase of adolescence. Right now his body is being flooded and constantly slammed with hormones as he shifts from carefree puppy to a young dog who suddenly makes him feel like there might be a threat around every corner. This stage (around 8–14 months for many intact dogs) brings big changes — physically and mentally. Our job? Step up as calm, steady leaders. Show them we won’t lead them into danger. Prove the world isn’t as scary as it seems. I’m not focused on how perfect or fancy Odin’s position looks. I care that he’s engaged with me, listening, showing self control, and staying calm under pressure. This was only his second trip into Lowe’s — and he crushed it. 🙌 His ability to choose me over his instincts is everything. That engagement is what builds trust, confidence, and the foundation to handle even more challenging environments in the future. Great job, Odin. Notice the difference in Lexi’s behavior with Bruno vs Aurora. With Bruno she is far more interested and more intense in her actions. Some people might look at Bruno’s behavior and think it’s amusing the puppy is chasing the old dog around. However, I recognize Bruno is stressed and in avoidance of Lexi. As you can see totally different dog here. couple weeks ago I could not touch the cage walk near his cage etc. Now we’re going a whole day at Day&Trains with no type of growling, or barking. he’s walking and feeling more confident within him self ♥️ . Like I told my client I never seen any real signs of “aggression” more so fear or anxiety. Toretto just needed some confidence building and to understand that if he wants to, he has the capability to hurt %99 of humans. Six months old. Big body. Big personality. And zero clue how to use either of them. When this sweet Cane Corso girl came to us, she was all enthusiasm and very little direction. She pulled hard on the leash, jumped on everyone she met, was unsure and a little weary of new things, and had no real structure when it came to crate or potty training. Personal space? Didn’t exist. Play manners? Still loading. But here’s the thing about young dogs — especially powerful breeds like a Cane Corso — they’re not “bad.” They’re unshaped. They’re waiting for guidance. We slowed her world down. We built clarity. We created consistency. She learned that the crate is a safe place, not a punishment. She learned where and when to potty. She learned how to walk without dragging her human down the street. She learned that respecting space builds trust. She learned that play has rules — and those rules make life smoother for everyone. Most importantly, we worked on her confidence. The wariness faded as leadership and structure increased. When a dog knows what’s expected, anxiety drops and stability rises. Now? She’s a well-mannered, respectful, confident young lady with a solid foundation to grow into the powerful, balanced adult she’s meant to be.
