Pita Bread, Khobez 2 cups all purpose unbleached flour 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoons yeast 1 cup warm water 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon za'atar 2 tablespoons olive oil *Mix the flour in a bowl. Make a hole in the center *Mix the sugar with the yeast and warm water. Allow the yeast to get activated and then pour into the flour and start to mix together. *Keep adding water little by little while kneading until you have a smooth dough. Cover and allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes. *Dust flat surface with flour, cut the dough into 8 equal size balls. Cover and rest for 10 minutes. *Flatten each ball into a 1/8-inch thick circle. Place a flat frying pan on medium heat and then place the dough in the pan. Cook for about a minute on one side. Flip and cook for about 30 seconds or more if you like it more crispy. Remove and allow to cool slightly before savoring the delicious fresh bread. *If you like, place the flat dough on a try and bake in 400F oven until puffed. *In order to make Manousheh, mix the zaatar with the olive oil, spread over one of the flatten dough. Bake on a hot flat pan or at 475°F until golden. Eat warm. Always warm. #pitabread #khobez #breadislife #foodisdignity
