Thank you STEM Scholars of @franklininstitute for having me facilitate the introduction to Sustainable Beauty Lab 2 Launch Program! Sharing this moment with my 4 children as we left the Franklin Institute after hours was surreal and a dream come true! Looking forward to our next workshop!

What do you see? I see a group of overlooked students from the South Bronx pushing through every stereotype placed on them. I see parents and families from different cultures showing up, competing, and fighting to be recognized for their hard work and dedication. I see a small but mighty school evolving in real time… led by Evelyn Hey, a legendary Puerto Rican leader who continues to uplift, empower, and create generational impact, and who believed in me from day one. I see a staff that, for the third year in a row, has made sacrifices to help me host an event with over 100 people… on a freezing Saturday morning. It may look like “just a video” to some people… But to us? It’s hope. It’s resilience. It’s proof that we belong in every space we step into. And my prayer is that whoever is watching this feels inspired to keep going, no matter what you’re facing right now. Because if our students can rise, so can you. The Metro-North Penn Station Access Project — a major transit equity investment — is bringing four new ADA-accessible stations to the East Bronx, expanding access and opportunity for our communities.
