11/10 taste of experience, highly recommend @bubala_london to anyone in or visiting London 🫶🏻 I had the Bubala Knows Best vegan tasting menu bc I could not decide between lots of things on the menu (as usual😅) so I was glad that that was taken from me. 📍Bubala, Soho We went for the Weekend Lunch Menu and got: Laffa & challah (bread). Both unbelievable, I love my bread and both were 10/10. Regret not getting more for the rest of the dishes. Humous w burnt butter, labneh w confit garlic & zaatar and baba ganoush w curry leaf oil and pine nuts. I think one of us screamed after tasting the baba ganoush. It was so smokey, smooth and packed with flavour, they all were. You could taste the quality of the olive oil on them all. Falafel in tahini, amba & sumac onions. Never heard of amba before but it’s now one of my favourite things. It’s a mango pickle condiment and worked very well w the dish. Smacked cucumbers w tahini and crispy chilli oil. One of my fav things we ate and I don’t eat cucumber like that. Felt a bit random compared to the rest of the menu but honestly some of the best cucumbers I’ve had. Deffo making them myself. Carrots in a peanut tahini, coconut & kaffir lime salsa. I think we all agreed this was our favourite thing on the menu. Bloody incredible and very much my vibe. I’d make this at home. Saffron braised fennel, whipped feta & olive dukkah. This was probably everyone’s least favourite dish but I still really enjoyed it. Just meant more for me tbh! Butter lettuce, raspberry molasses, black pepper & sesame. As mentioned in the video, average but really refreshing. Confit potato latkes. Have wanted to try these for ages and didn’t disappoint. Honestly, I LOVE vegetarian food and this restaurant celebrates the vegetable beautifully. I will deffo be back. Love love LOVE. Thank you @bubala_london

You need to try the recommended "Bubula Knows Best" Taster Menu - you can then try pretty much their whole menu 🌿. ▪️Pickle Plate ▪️Laffa Bread ▪️Labneh, Confit Garlic, Za'atar 🌟 ▪️Hummus, Burnt Butter 🌟 ▪️Oyster Mushroom Skewer 🌟 ▪️Chinese Cabbage Skewer 🌟 ▪️Smacked Cucumber ▪️Halloumi, Chamomile & Fennel Honey 🌟 ▪️Saffron Braised Fennel 🌟 ▪️Butter Lettuce ▪️Confit Potato Latkes 🌟 Everything was pretty droolworthy. The dips were incredible to start with. The skewers were somehow meaty and had a lovely smoky flavour. Halloumi had a great texture with a great honey sauce. I could have inhaled the confit potatoes. We ended on dessert and paired our meal with a deeeelicious bottle of red. The service was attentive, quick service and buzzy atmosphere. Bubala, Soho 📍 I’ve had this on my “to visit” list for agessss. I managed to get the last lunch sitting (3pm Wednesday) and the place was packed. I loved the aesthetics of the small space, friendly staff and of course my fave dining.. small plates. •Lowest small plate price: £4.50 •Lowest big plate price: £16 •Highlights: Hummus Burnt butter, Confit potato, falafel and the bread was delicious. •Notes: I would recommend booking.
