Today in the studio we cooked some bulk meals for NZ charity @kurakai_nz Kura Kai has volunteers around the country who make extra meals that are frozen and placed in freezers in high schools around Aotearoa. Students can take meals home to feed their families if they are in need. ☺️ It was so fun to cook today with my team plus @makaiacarr and Marie from Kura Kai. 🧑🏼‍🍳 I spent $143 on ingredients and we made 22 meals which was 70 servings 🙌🏼 Kura Kai is looking for more volunteers to help fill the freezers around the country, so if you have capacity you should get involved by cooking a few extra meals at home. 🏠 🥘 I am keen to host local Taupō businesses for bulk cook ups in the studio, so if you have team who want to give back and cook together then get in touch. 👏🏼 Let me know if you want me to post these bulk recipes? Big breakfast power bowls, going into the cookbook pans on my page Stage 1 3lbs 96/4 beef seasoning with ⬇️ 8g paprika 8g garlic 6k onion 6g pepper 4g salt Stage 2 20 slices of beef bacon (45 calorie kind) Chop into small pieces let this cook Stage 3 20 happy eggs 4g all purpose seasoning Stage 4 4lbs frozen south style potatoes spread a few passes over these before going into the oven I ended up putting mine on 400°. I let it cook for 20 minutes and then I put it on 500 and I let it broil for 10 min You can season these if you want to I just knew I was gonna be using my high protein sauces which I’m gonna list below. Stage 5 Add all the ingredients into your beef pan mix and distribute as evenly as possible, and 10 meal prep containers. If you are very particular, put a large bowl on a scale reset it so it says zero add your food once you get that total divided by 10 meal prep containers and that’s how much you should do each meal prep container For example You zeroed out your glass bowl poured in the food that you cooked. It came out to 89 ounces 89 oz. divided by 10 meal preps comes out to 8.9 ounces each meal prep container will be getting here are the sauces that I like to put on my foods⬇️ I have these linked These make 12 ounces 100% you will not waste any product #gym #mealprep #weightloss #highprotein #mealprepideas

This was actually my first time cooking a whole roast chicken and it turned out really well! The Slow Cooker Meal Prep Series has hit over 125 MILLION views across platforms 🤯 The bulk approach to meal prepping has been a game changer for me (there’s no better feeling than having a freezer stocked with 60-70+ high protein meals, ready to go whenever) - so it’s awesome to see so many of y’all feel the same 🙏 The slow cooker is the ultimate tool for making bulk meal prep as simple as possible My content has been focused on meal prep for quite a while now - and there’s a few things I’ve learned since making meal prepping my full time job 👇 1.) Freezing meal preps is essential. From a pure taste perspective - meal preps stored frozen retain flavor and freshness FAR BETTER than anything stored in the fridge. I’ve found that food stored for a month frozen tastes better than food stored in the fridge for just 24 hours. Equally as important - if you store meal preps frozen, there isn’t “pressure” to finish them within 5-7 days to avoid them going bad. Aka - your meal preps aren’t a ticking time bomb. Freezing meal preps allows you to build a massive stockpile of meals in your freezer that are available whenever you want them 2.) This ties into the first point - but meal prep in BULK. Find a recipe you like, and scale it to make 10+ servings (I know some people take my recipes and scale them up to 20 serving meals). Again, freezing is essential here so that you can store meals for the long term + don’t have to eat the same thing 10 straight days 3.) Lastly, and by far the most important if you want to succeed with meal prep: the meals have to taste amazing and be something you genuinely look forward to eating. You want your meal preps to sound better than anything you could get at the food court. Just one of the ways I like to make the most of my space is to try and cook everything on the go at the same time. Now this isn’t always possible however with some clever planning the night before it can be done. Whilst we all know weight loss is a simple calories in vs calories out.
