Bandhani work in #gujurat India is probably one of my favorite things ever The formation of this textile starts with marked white cloth (usually through a block) that is then bunched up in tiny knobs like in the beginning of the video, where thread is spun in great speed around the knob. This tied up portion stays white or the color of the pre dyed fabric. The knotted up cloth is then dyed, and after drying, the threads from the threads from the knobs are broken in order to release this amazing pattern. Day 177 .. Trying to enjoy these last few weeks, smile a little, and not worry about life bc what is going to matter out here if I do end up locked up .. I spent my whole life worrying, stressing, surviving .. if I do anything these last few weeks I just want to feel like I’m living .. like I want to breath .. I thank God for the showers being hot, as long as I want them to be .. the couches I get to stretch out on that aren’t metal and my uniform not bunched up in my laundry bag as a pillow .. the food not having to be ate in 15 minutes bc the hall lady is yelling through the shoots to get the trays back .. the small things .. bc I remember what it could go back to in 12 days ..
