This has to be on my feed. Nahyan's very first sports day and our first to witness this achievement! I saw how he attempted the stations and it totally reminded me of myself. I wanted to share this moment because it means more than I can put into words. “Mr. Mal” as our students call him, is not only the Director of Brainy Bunch - but he is also my brother and my only sibling . Before our mom passed in 2023, one of her wishes was for us to build something meaningful together. Brainy Bunch is part of that promise. He’s a retired educator with over 20 years of experience, he came out of retirement to help see this vision through. But what matters most to me is how present he is every day — teaching, guiding our staff, overseeing our curriculum, and showing up fully for our children across both centers. Last week, our children and teachers made him birthday cards, and one of our preschoolers recorded a special message for him. Watching how much our children love “Mr. Mal” reminds me exactly why this work matters. Today, we’re celebrating his birthday (although it was January 10th lol)— and the heart, care, and leadership behind Brainy Bunch! Inaaya...being a mama's girl, I must say Inaaya grew so much in being independent. We sent her to school when she was 4 but it turned out pretty bad. She was crying sampai muntah muntah in school and I could not tahan my heart so i took her out of school and let her come to school when she was ready. A year later, she asked " when am i going to school?" bam! it was a breeze after Alhamdullilah. She was happy and enjoyed her lessons daily as well. Witnessing her K1 grad show makes me all teary cuz hey " Iv grown up mama!" my little star even got the mic to herself and it reminded me of my first stage professional performance ( exactly when i started at 5) with my late father🥹 Inaaya said she wants to be a performer when she grows up😂 But after she will say but I malu. The other day we went to MYDIN and there were a group of ladies who came up to take a photo with me and she asked " How come every one always nak take photo with you sae mama?!" " I also want to be like you" I just giggled. And then the abang interjected and said " Inaaya you know people know mama cuz of her Instagram la" HAHAHAHAHA i was like omg these kids are " WATCHING" for sure. So I said, no la mama not popular mama just being a mother and sharing some of my life stories on instagram.
