Here are four different ways to do the burpee box jump over... 1) This is the slowest version that will include taking extra steps, pausing at the bottom and keeping your heart rate lowest... Not ideal. 2) This is the "smooth is fast" option for doing a lot of reps. Just keep moving and find a steady pace. Also good for keeping the heart rate lower. 3) This is definitely faster but will spike the heart rate more. Good for doing a small number of reps or at the end of the workout to pick up the pace. 4) The spring is the fastest. I learned this style from @unitedgridleague with @thepalmbeachbreakers ... Best for a partner workout when you have to go 100% or at the end of your workout when it's okay to redline. Another tip is to stay low on the box. If you're jumping high that's going to take a lot of unnecessary energy. What style do you typically use?
