C-section ho ya normal log aaj bhi compare karte hain. But what they don’t see is— the pain, the healing, the silent strength. One body goes through surgery… the other through intense labor… Different pain. Same love. Same motherhood. 🤍 If you’re a mom… I see you. I respect you. 🫶 Tell me… what was your journey like? 🥺👇🏻

For some reason I never thought about the fact that they would have to transfer me from the OR table to the hospital bed after my C-section. It’s also one of the first moments you get a glimpse of the temporary loss of independence after surgery…when moving suddenly requires help. Luckily the meds are still working, it’s quick, and the team has a great technique. C-section moms… Do you remember this moment or is it a blur? Even tho it was an unplanned c-section, it instantly became magical when I heard those cries 💖🥺

Trust me society, C section is not as easy as you think it is. C sections moms need due respect and support too! #motherhood #childbirth #childbirtheducation

Despite this being the most common surgery in Canada, you’re given almost no education after a C-section. In hospital, you’ll rarely receive: – guidance for recovery – pain management strategies – breathing or positional support But these things can make a huge difference in how you feel! I created a (free) C-section Recovery Guide — originally for my clinic- that covers basic recovery education, breathing, positioning, and early support to help you heal at home. 💬 Comment GUIDE and my little robot assistant will send you a copy 😊 For everyone who found this account at different stages of recovery, I’ve finally finished creating two programs to support you along the way: ✨ C-Section Recovery Course Step-by-step recovery, education, guidance, movement, and rehab — designed to support you from day 1 through weeks 6–8. This expands on the free guide ✨ Return to Movement Series For when you’re cleared to exercise, but don’t feel ready — and aren’t sure how or where to start. Both of these are available in the link in my bio! Friendly reminder I’m not your physio, and therefore this isn’t tailored rehab/advice and this does not replace care from your medical team 🤍

Save this now ⬇️ C-section mamas, here’s something important I learned during my recovery 💡 After my side sutures were cut, my gynaecologist noticed redness and a bit of watery discharge around my scar. That’s when my doctor warned me about infection signs and asked me to monitor them closely. I even had to send photos every 2 days to keep track 📸. Here are the signs she told me to watch for: 🚨 Redness or swelling that’s spreading 🚨 Warmth around the scar 🚨 Pus or foul-smelling discharge 🚨 Pain that’s getting worse(not just sore) 🚨 Skin opening up or gaping 🚨 Hard lumps or swelling under the scar 🚨 Fever, chills, or sweating 🚨 Fatigue or rapid heartbeat Your body just did something incredible — don’t ignore these signs. If something doesn’t feel right, talk to your doctor ASAP. #csection #csectionrecovery #birth #csectionmama #csectionbirth #pregnancy #pregnant #pregnancydiary #pregnancylife #pregnancyjourney #newbornbaby #csectionmom #pregnantmom #pregnantmama #momtobe #pregnancytips #reels #reelsinstagram #fyp #mybaby 💙 #babygirl #babygirls #delivery #childbirth #deliveryvlog #newparents #emergencycsection #csectionmom #csectionawareness #csectionmommy #csectionmommy ( Pregnancy , pregnant , pregnancy life , pregnancy ootd , pregnancy happiness , baby , 4d scan , baby , baby on the way , dragon baby , 2024 baby , mom to be, mom , parents to be , love , pregnancy journey , pregnancy life, pregnancy blog, third trimester , baby coming soon , October mummas , due in October 2024, 36 weeks pregnant , 34 weeks , full term pregnant , October mama , baby coming soon , October 2024 baby , couple , parents to be , baby coming soon , last few days as a family of 2, love , husband and wife , date, lunch date , family is growing , baby onboard , delivery , hospital , coming home as family of 3, baby is born , October baby , delivery of baby ) home coming , c section mom , emergency, meconium , baby is safe, vaginal delivery , birth story , 24 hours of labor pain , contractions , pain , cloud nine hospital c c section mamas , things no one tells you about c section , emergency c section , recovery , 7 layers are cut, c section moms are brave )

Whether experiencing a vaginal or c-section birth, your body goes through an intense physical and emotional event, not to mention the 9 months of extreme changes your body experiences prior to birth! Pelvic floor therapy can help you prepare for birth and rehabilitate after the fact. It’s also clear that common postpartum conditions such as incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain can be pushed to the side and considered a normal part of the process. However common, they are not normal and there is help available. Unfortunately we have yet to set a standard to care for postpartum rehabilitation. That means that there is not an automatic referral and many don’t even have a discussion regarding rehab options. Things are starting to change; pelvic floor therapy is starting to become more well-known thanks to social media. Hopefully we will see a standard of care emerge soon for our deserving patients! Keep spreading the word!!🤍🥰
