Learn how to cable knit 👆🏼 Save this video or comment “C4B” and I’ll DM you a link to my cable knitting blog post. I remember learning to knit and cables were the end goal. But to be honest, they look super intricate. Fun fact, cable knitting it way easier than you think. It’s actually just knitting each stitch out of order. In this reel I show you how to knit a C4B (cable 4 back) and a C4F (cable 4 front). Have you been nervous to work cables too? My #IvyLeaguePullover that comes out on Friday is chockfull of C4F, making it the perfect practice piece to nail knitting cables for the first time. . . . . #knittingtutorial #knitting #cableknit #cableknitting #learntocableknit #knittingtime #knitatudeknits #wak #weareknitters #thepetitewool

Knitting cables doesn’t haven’t to be intimidating! If you can knit and purl, you can knit cables. I promise 🫶🏻 Have you tried cables? We all mess up sometimes. I started twisting my cable in the wrong direction halfway through this vest, and I didn’t notice until I was almost done! 🤦♀️ I braved the challenge and unzipped the cable to try to fix it without ripping out all my work. I managed to get it looking more like it is supposed to. How do you think I did?🥰 #knitting #knittersofinstagram #knittingmistakes #mistakes #fixing #knittingjournal #mobysweater #mobysweaterman

🇬🇧 ✨ If you love knitting cables but they often turn out a bit stiff or tight, this one’s for you. Low-elasticity yarns + lots of crossings + tight tension… you know the vibe: cables that look more like a wooden board than a texture 😱. In today’s reel I show you the tiny move I use on my Griselle Pullover. Neat cables, relaxed tension, clean stitches, better drape — all without blocking ❤️ Try it on your next cable and enjoy that little “wait… why does this work so well?” moment. I wish I knew that cable work wasn’t as hard as I thought it was because I did hold myself from it, doing many stockinette sweaters in the meantime thinking I’m not ready yet🫠 Love the progress and can’t wait to finish it, even my partner asked for one and he never wants anything, so be ready for some cable knit content 😆 #knit #cableknit #cablework #knitting #knitter

Knitting cables without a cable needle 😱 - make cables easier and faster and I promise you won’t drop any stitches. This works super well for 3x3 cables but for 4 over 4 you may have to go back to a cable needle depending on your tension. Also, for the avoidance of doubt, when I say ‘twist’ in this video, we are twisting stitches around each other. Not twisting individual stitches which is a whole different thing. This trick came to me from @hirismakes during a knitting meet-up at @sewknitcraftcambridge and saved me a LOT of time since. (Side note: why are some of us slow-craft knitters obsessed with ways to speed things up?!) #cableknitting #knittingtutorial

Introducing simple cable twist on the making of cardigan for 1/6 doll scale. Here is part of the project that I’ll be making for next pattern. I don’t mind spilling a little bit here. Just wanna know how you think about it.. 😃🫶🏻✨💫 #Knitting #knittingcardigan #cableknitting #microknitting

The secret tool behind beautiful cable knits 🧶✨ It looks like just a curved needle… but once you slip stitches onto it and keep knitting, the magic begins. That’s how you get those gorgeous, voluminous cables that make every sweater stand out. 💫 And here’s a tip: instead of a cable needle, you can also use a pencil or even a crochet hook — it works just as well! 😉 Do you like knitting cables, or are they still on your “to-learn” list? 👇 #KnittingTips #CableKnitting #ChunkyKnits #TheWoolcatcher #KnittingInspiration #HandmadeWardrobe #Facesyarn

Don’t let tools or lack there of limit you in your knitting ❤️ cabling without a cable needle is deceptively easy! Knitting doesn’t need a ton of fancy tools - just a little patience 💕💕 if you’ve used this technique - what’s the most difficult cable you can do without a needle? #knitting #strikke #knittersofinstagram #sweaterknitting #knittinginspiration
